Without a story. You have nothing. There is no reason to have a book if there is no story to accompany it. It doesn't matter if the story is outright just there, or if the meaning is hidden and special to a few, or is hidden until you develop the maturity to use those skills throughout your life. Movies like Napolean Dynamite, where you don't really get the plot of the movie until you really think about it. Those are the best kinds of stories, ones where we get the meaning after serious thought. Implicit stories. Stories of friendship, and adventure.
